Hell’s Gate Bass Club Meeting January 15, 2016

Present Bruce opened the meeting, welcomed members and guests and invited all to eat from the buffet prepared by Laurel.
Laurel won the Ladies Door Prize and Cory Hughes won the Men’s Door Prize
Bruce tabled discussion on the Spring Open Tournament.
Ric announced that club members were invited to the casino night sponsored by the P.K. Chamber of Commerce at the chamber building on Jan. 22nd.
Bruce presented Co Child Angler of the Year to Bowen Boenisch with a pole, reel & plaque. Co winners, Kaleb Baldwin & Preston Baldwin were not present.
Mike Hallford was awarded Big Bass of the year,
Will Seaburry was presented Rookie of the Year by Bruce,
Champion of Champions and Angler of the Year Awards were presented by Bruce to Barry Smith.
Bruce presented a Top 6, jacket to Barry Smith who in turn dedicated his jacket to his daughter, Kassie. Steve McCain presented his Top 6 jacket to his grandson, Austin. Bobby Koncak, who was not present, was recognized as a Top 6er, Pal Newsom accepted his jacket from Bruce, Mike Hallford & Don Welch elected to accept checks for their Top 6 placement.
Bruce recognized the Top 10, along with the previously announced Top 6 were Eddie McCracken, Tony Wallace, Will Seaburry & Johnny Hicks.
Johnny Hicks asked for an update to the club rules to incorporate changes to made at the December meeting. Ric acknowledged that an update is planned before the next meeting.
Bruce asked for lakes to be nominated for the February Tournament. P.K., Hubbard Creek & Lake Leon were nominated. P.K. received a majority of votes.
Steve McCain asked to recognized his grandson, Colby, who had just graduated from Marine Boot Camp in California.
Bruce thanked members & guests for attending & Laurel received an ovation for her catering the event.
Bruce adjourned the meeting.
