Minutes from the September 2017 Meeting

President Bruce opened the meeting at 6.58 pm.

Present: Don Welch, Mike Singletary, Barry Smith, Mike Hallford, Bobby Koncak, Land Hand, Eddie McCracken, David Bryant, Andy Salazar, Jerry Larance, John McCracken, Ric Hayward, Bruce Ray, Royce Williams IV, Cody Klapper & Tony Thomas.

Bruce spoke to the open tournament, sell raffle tickets, ask for donations for the raffle, tickets $1 each or 12 for $10, first raffle prize a Savage 270 rifle with scope, check in times 5-9 Friday night & 5-7 Saturday morning, weighing line opens at 2.00 & closes at 3.00, Bruce will blow his horn to close the weigh in & start time to be given to each entrant at check in. Club retains 20% of the Big Bass pot. Linda will not be available on tournament day.

If you are planning on going to the October Away Tournament at Lake Armistead & have not contacted Barry regarding accommodations, now is the time.
Bruce explained, at length, the point system for the 2 day September tournament, 110 points for each day winner, there is 1 entry fee, total weight for both days, gets the money. Big Bass pot takes a 9 lb fish to be claimed. There will be no dinner, as in the past, but Tony T will be grilling at his Hog Bend home Saturday after weigh in. Thanks to Andy R for doing the fliers.

Bruce noted that the Lew’s order will be delivered before the open tournament. Please see Bruce to collect you order & settle up.

New Business: HGBC Top 6 team in the Fun N Sun tournament did respectably. Welcome new member Danny Woolery. Cody will handle the recording for the open tournament.
